4 pm: Torah Discovery Workshop
Kids will learn and practice Torah calligraphy.
Torah scrolls are written in a different script from typical Hebrew writing, and only a trained sofer (scribe) can properly write one.
Each child will be given their own parchment, feather quill, and ink with which they can practice writing different letters.
Under the guidance of a sofer, each child in the YouScribe program will write and take home parchment with their name on it.
