On behalf of Jewish Niagara, I would like to extend a very warm welcome. We are pleased you have accepted our offer of employment.
Our payroll is done by ADP. ADP will provide you with an employee login and password. This will enable you to view pay stubs, T4’s and ROE’s online during your employment and after you are no longer employed with us.
PAYROL SCHEDULE: Payroll is submitted each month on the 25th of that month to ensure the pay date is on the last day of the month. If your employment starts after the 25th of the month, your first pay date will be on the last day of the following month.
It will be your responsibility to ensure we have all your hours prior to the 25th of the month. Any hours worked that were not recorded by the 24th will not be paid until the following pay period. If you require your paycheck prior to that a $50 special “payroll run” charge will be deducted from your check. Hours will be submitted to ADP on the 25st. Your cheque should be directly deposited into your account by month end.
To ensure we have all your hours it is imperative that all hourly employees clock-in and out. We will provide you with an app to clock-in and out on your personal device (other alternatives are available for those who do not have one). Clock-in no more than 5-minutes prior to your scheduled start time and clock-out no more than 5-minutes past your scheduled end of shift. Early and late check in-out will not be added to your work time. In order to be paid for hours worked outside of your scheduled hours a manager will have to approve those hours. For instance; you are scheduled to work 9am-5pm and you clock-in at 8:30am and out at 5:30pm you will only be paid for the scheduled hours of 9am-5pm unless approved in writing by management.
For shifts longer than 4.5 hours, a 30-minute unpaid break will be deducted from your schedule in accordance with Ontario labour laws. It is the employee’s responsibility to take this break during their shift.
The management software used by Jewish Niagara is Connecteam. It is the responsibility of all employees to familiarize themselves with the system. Attached is the manual for Connecteam.
